Most price pages answer "it depends". Here are the numbers studios actually publish, and what moves them.
I read the public price pages of video studios. Not estimates from a forum: the ranges studios put on their own sites. This is what they say, in September 2026.
What studios publish
| Type of production | Published price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Budget company film, one interview, one location | from 1,350 EUR | Pelser Film |
| Simple film to average production | 2,000 to 5,000 EUR | Pro Motion Film |
| Professional company film, typical range | 3,000 to 6,000 EUR and more | Citral Studios |
| Company film in the Netherlands, full range | 3,000 to 10,000 EUR | Black Coffee Visuals |
| Compact production without motion graphics | 5,000 to 8,000 EUR | Bigfish |
| Custom production | 10,000 to 20,000 EUR | Bigfish |
Most studios that publish their prices openly are Dutch, so these are Dutch and Belgian market references.
The spread is wide because these are different products. A one-location interview and a multi-day campaign shoot share a name, not a budget.
What actually drives the price
- Shoot days. Crew, camera, lights and travel are billed per day. One extra day often costs more than the whole edit.
- Locations and people. Every place you film and every person on screen adds planning, permissions and time.
- Script and direction. Someone has to decide what the film says before anyone films it. Good studios charge for that, and they should.
- Editing, sound and graphics. Motion design, colour grading, music rights and subtitles add up.
- Formats. A 16:9 master plus vertical cuts for social is more work than one file.
When a classic shoot is the right call
If the film needs your real team, your workshop, a customer testimonial or your product in someone's hands, film it. Nothing replaces real footage of real people. The ranges above are fair for that work.
When you do not need a shoot
A lot of short films are not about showing the office. They carry an idea: a launch, a new offer, a mood you want people to remember. Those can be made without cameras.
That is how we made our own series. Our founder at Lake Como, on the Moon, conducting an opera. No crew, no location, no flights. You can watch the six films.
Without a shoot, most of the cost above disappears. What remains is the work that makes a film good: the idea, the script, the images, the voice, the edit.
What 400 euros buys with us
A first film, excluding VAT:
- 30 seconds
- the script and a light storyboard
- a voice if the film needs one
- editing, titles and subtitles
- exports in the formats of your channels
- UTM tracking links, so you can see where views and contacts come from
- one round of feedback on the storyboard and one on the edit
It is a starting point, not every film. The films on our page go further than this first format, and anything more complex is quoted after a first conversation.
The honest limits
- It will not show your real team or premises unless you give us footage or photos to work from.
- Some scenes need several passes before they look right. That is included in the direction, not billed per attempt.
- If your film depends on a real testimonial, hire a crew.
So what should you budget?
- A real shoot with interviews: plan 3,000 to 10,000 EUR, based on the prices above.
- A short idea-led film without a shoot: from 400 EUR with us.
If you have an idea and are not sure which one it is, tell us what you have in mind. We will tell you honestly.
